Cycling in Bermuda

Recreational and serious cyclist coming to Bermuda will find beautiful and challenging cycling routes. If you are a serious cyclist you may want to consider to bring your own pedal bike as only recreational mountain bikes are available for rental.  Otherwise the cost of renting a pedal bike is far less than the cost of bringing your own.  Check it out!

Before going any further you should be aware that a "bicycle" is called a ãpedal bikeä in Bermuda.  If you inquire about renting a ãbicycleä or ãbikeä you will receive information about mopeds.

Participating in one of the local race

The BBA welcomes visitors who want to compete in its events.  Most of our the races are during the weekend.  Before you are allowed to compete we require that you fill a temporary membership form that contains a customary waiver. The temporary membership fee is $5 and is valid for one month. The Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race, on May 24th, is the only race that is by invitation only.

All BBA sanctionned events require that you wear an helmet.

The Bermuda Grand Prix September 22-25, 2005

The Bermuda Grand Prix includes Pro 1,2 Men, Elite Women as well as open, masters and junior categories for men and women. All of which will share in prize money of $15,000 over four days of racing in our beautiful island.
