CYCLING NEWS TEAM BERMUDA HEADS TO BARBADOS The Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships are this weekend in Barbados and our team is heading out Thursday morning. Results from Saturday's time trial and Sunday's road race will be posted at www.bermudacycling.blogspot.com along with random pictures as soon as available. G. MILLER LEAVING DRINKS A little fiesta for Graeme and Toni will be held at the de ste Croix house ("Sherlock", 12 Parsons Road, Devonshire) this Friday, October 23rd from 6pm. All invited, BYO. If lost call 292-6528 or 504-6528 SUNDAY MTB RIDE For those interested in transitioning to the MTB season the Sunday ride this week will depart from the Flagpole on Front Street and head to Admiralty House Park and then to the Arboretum. This is a good chance to reawaken your skills before the season starts on November 29th. All welcome. MOUNTAIN BIKING SEASON PREVIEW!!! Less than a month before the first Tokio event, when fat tires will be all the rage. The calendar has been amended and now looks like the following: November 7 - Tokio event at Arboretum 4PM November 21 - Tokio event at Arboretum 4PM November 29 - Series race at Ft. Scaur 9AM December 5 - Tokio event at Arboretum 4PM December 13 - Tokio event at Ferry Reach 1:30PM followed by series race 3PM December 20 - Series race at Admiralty Park 9AM December 28 - Downhill Lighthouse and social event 9AM January 9 - Tokio event at Arboretum 4PM January 10 - Series race at Ferry Reach 9AM January 17 - Tokio event at Ferry Reach 1:30PM followed by 4 Hour Team Endurance event and social 3PM January 24 - Series race at Hog Bay 9AM January 30 - Tokio event at Arboretum 4PM February 7 - Series race at Hog Bay 9AM February 21 - Series event at Ft. RACING MATTERS TIME TRIALS CONTINUE
The last Bacardi TT of the 2009 season is over and Shannon Lawrence has shown the value of his Carmichael program. Everyone should call Chris right away. Full results are below, including new records for Mark Godfrey in the 13/14 category and Christian Oatley in the 10 & Under group. Next up is the Harrington Sound course on October 25th and then the final TT of the year is Shelly Bay on November 8th. |
