CYCLING NEWS TOKIO YOUTH MTB SERIES 4TH YEAR
Another great series for juniors has started, thanks to the support of Tokio Millennium Re. Ed Jordan, with support from numerous staff members and CEO Tats Hoshina (3:17 NYC marathon this year, very impressive!) put on a great event at the Arboretum that included short races and skills practice. Turnout was very good and it appears that the series is off to a great start. The next event is November 21 at 4PM at the Arboretum. CHARITY FOOTBALL DATE SET The Charity Footbal Tournament will be held at Warwick Academy gym between 2 and 6 pm on Sunday 22 November. It would be appreciated if each team would confirm participation as well as the actual persons and numbers (it is $20 per person which goes to St John's Ambulance). I would very much like to have a pot luck style of BBQ or food at the event and would ask that anyone interested in organising this contact me asap. (I am flying out to the UK that night thus am unable to do so). Please support this good cause. Nigel Godfrey is compiling the rules for the event and this will be circulated shortly. |

RACING MATTERS SHELLY BAY TIME TRIAL FINALE
The final time trial of the 2009 season was run last Sunday on the Sheely Bay course with new course records set by Daniel Oatley (Boys 11/12) and Garth Thomson (Vet). Results from the event are below and next week we will publish the series standings by category. CONRAD'S MTB SEASON IS UPON US!
Thanks to Jeff and Charles for their continued support of the mountain biking season with their sponsorship of the race series. There are seven races in the the series utilizing Ft. Scaur, Hog Bay, Admiralty House and Ferry Reach. The series registration should be done in advance (though there are single race entries available before each event) and dropped in the BBA box at either Bicycle Works or Winners Edge. Grant "Chelsea" Goudge is the coordinator of the mountain biking season so we extend our thanks to him for the work he has put into crafting a challenging season.
