RACING MATTERS

CYCLO-CROSS BERMUDA!!!!

Thanks to Adam Harbutt and Dave Collins for organizing the first cyclo-cross race for Bermuda last weekend.  Turout was light but that just helped a certain someone look quite quick.  There was even a real cross bike there to duel against Adam's single speed (Note to Adam: if you are going to run the single speed check your gearing before the race).  Adam has posted a detailed report with plenty of pictures on his blog  All Things Edddy.  Hopefully this type of race will catch on here as it is well suited to racing in Bermuda's parks .  Afterwards Dave and Zara hosted everyone for a few beverages and "home-made" fish chowder.  Great morning!

STUFF FOR SALE OR OTHER

NADA

We end the year with cycling gear in a state of stasis, everyone has just the right amount of stuff.

If you have a bike (road or mountain) in working condition but is just sitting there, neglected and unused, please consider donating it to the BBA for use in the schools programs.

Picture of the week

The usual comradship and Christmas spirit was evident for most of the "Not The Boxing Day Ride" until the sound of a hissing tire shattered the silence of the peloton.  Thankfully Jason Piney had a few body guards tokeep the anxious peloton at bay while he quickly repaired the flat.  More pictures (and a little video) from the day can be found at http://me.edafe.com/_sites/0912nbr/
