2012 MTB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2012 MTB Championships will be held at Ferry Reach on Sunday, March 25 beginning at 9:00. The entry form is available below and can be dropped off at Winners Edge not later than Friday, March 23rd. As this is a championship race there are a limited number of categories; Male Open, Female Open, Junior Male, Junior Female. Juniors are aged 18 and under as of 12/31/2012. There will also be races for younger riders but they are not championship events. Event t-shirts, designed by Nelson Pimentel of Signworx, will go to the first 60 registrants.
The course for the championship races will be the reverse version of the long Ferry Reach loop with a few changes. Where you will come back to the railway trail after the fallen tree downhill, riders will turn right on the trail to a u-turn and then stay on the trail back to the grassy section that takes you to the cemetary. Also, racers will go up to the Martello Tower and around it, not down the sandy back. With any luck the course will be clearly marked by the MTB elves. For the junior and adult female championship races one section of technical riding will be eliminated.
The schedule for the morning will be as follows:
9:00AM - Start of Male Open,Junior Male, Female Open, Junior Female Championship races
10:15AM - Start of Junior 13-16 and Junior 12 & Under races.
