ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL TOKIO SERIES CONCLUDES

Last Saturday was the final event in the 2011-12 Tokio Youth Mountain Bike Series at the Arboretum. Congratulations to all of the Tokio Millennium Re staff who made it so successful, especially Selina Meade who was the lead organizer for Tokio. As always, the commitment of Tats Hoshina and Ed Jordan, with support from Neil de Ste Croix, allowed many young students the opportunity to participate in cycling events designed just for them. Let's make sure this great series can continue!
MTB MOVES TO ADMIRALTY PARK THIS SUNDAY

Though conditions were slightly moist for the start of racing at Ft. Scaur on Sunday, the weather was not a deterrent for competitors and spectators! Thanks to all of those who helped marshal the course and man the finish line. Full results are below.
This Sunday the series race will be held at Admiralty Park starting at 9:00AM. Please, please, please be on time if it is your intention to race.

ENDURANCE MTB FEB 12
MTB organizer Hans Hirschi provided the following on the Endurance Race:
The Latter Rain Water Service Endurance Race:
Now that we are almost halfway thru TLRWS Race Series it is time for a change. The Latter Rain Water Service Mountain Bike Endurance Race will be held on February 12th at Ferry Reach Park starting at 9:00 am. The Endurance Race is a specialty group event which will help riders of all abilities build confidence, fitness and bike handling skills while on the course.
Format:
'A' Class & 'B' Class riders can choose to ride the 3 hour / 3 mile course (long course) individually or as a team of 2, 3 or 4 riders. Novice riders can choose to ride the 3 hour / 2 mile (short course) individually or with a team. Junior riders can choose to ride the 3 hour / 2 mile (short course) individually or with a team. 12 & under riders can choose to ride the 3 hour / 1 mile (really short course) individually or with a team.
If riding as a team cyclists can choose how many laps they would like to do and what order they would like to do them in.
Teams may consist of a combination of 'A' Class', 'B' Class, Novice and Junior riders. No team is allowed to have two 'A' Class riders on it.
The Latter Rain Water Service Mountain Bike Endurance Race is a specialty event and not part of the point series. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers of each group.
Extra's: Barbeque and prize giving after the race. No charge for riders who pre-paid for the race season, $15.00 for all others. Many thanks to Bermuda Timing who will be providing time and lap count services. Many thanks to Dunkley's and Gatorade for their continued support of Mountain Bike Racing in Bermuda.
We will talk more about the Endurance Race this weekend at Race #4 at Admiralty House Park. We would also, at this time, like to start to pre-register riders and teams for this event.
