 Visiting Bermuda

Cycling in Bermuda

Recreational and serious cyclist coming to Bermuda will find beautiful and challenging cycling routes. If you cannot bring your own bike, both recreational mountain bikes and road bikes are available for rental.  Otherwise the cost of renting a pedal bike can be far less than the cost of bringing your own.  Check it out!

Before going any further you should be aware that a "bicycle" is called a ‘pedal bike’ in Bermuda.  If you inquire about renting a ‘bicycle’ or ‘bike’ you will usually receive information about mopeds.

Participating in local races

The BBA welcomes visitors who want to compete in its events. Click HERE for the schedule. Most of our the races are held on weekends.  Before you are allowed to compete we require that you fill a temporary membership form that contains a customary waiver. The temporary membership fee is $5 and is valid for one month. The Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race, on May 24th, is the only race that is by invitation only.

All BBA sanctioned events require that you wear an helmet.

Please refer to the Road Race, Time Trial or Mountain Bike section for more details.

Alternatively you may want to participate in one of the local triathlons.  See the Bermuda Triathlon Association website for more information.
